How Did the Cocktail Ring Get Its Name

December 23, 2020

Cheers to Sparkle Season. Cocktails, Anyone?

The holidays are here and it’s time to raise a glass to all of you beautiful ladies from all over the world. It’s the perfect time since it’s been all about the ring this week including the cocktail ring.

Why do they call it a cocktail ring? Today I am chatting about what a cocktail ring is and where it got its name from + I am sharing with you my cocktail of choice.

Whether you call it a cocktail, a statement, a signature, or a right-hand ring - we can all agree that a great ring rocks. I hope you enjoyed this fun video about how the cocktail ring got its name and I hope you enjoy our latest collection. We have so many awesome rings this week, perfect to admire when you raise a glass this holiday season and on many special occasions to come.

Thank you very much for an incredible 2020 and cheers to all of you.

A perfect pairing with a Cocktail Ring is, of course, a perfect cocktail. Here's the recipe for my favorite: the French 75.

Classic French 75 cocktails are easy to make at home with this recipe! The French 75 is a refreshing and citrusy, sparkling gin cocktail that packs a punch.

Ingredients:
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 oz. gin or Cognac
• 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
• 2 ounces Champagne
• Lemon peel twist

  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake gin or Cognac, lemon juice, and 1/2 ounce simple syrup.
  2. Strain into a chilled flute or cocktail coupe. Top with Champagne. Garnish with lemon peel twist.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post, don’t forget to share with us pictures of your favorite cocktail/statement rings and your favorite cocktail or mocktail, too.

Xoxo,
Veronica
