Midnight Rose Collection Necklace and Earrings Set by KJL for Avon

Anything with Kenneth Jay Lane's name is indeed high fashion. Kenneth Jay Lane created high end fashion pieces that were sure to please and these are no exception. They are in excellent condition.

DETAILS
This Kenneth Jay Lane designer signed "Midnight Rose" Collection is from his high end Avon line from 1989. It consists of a gorgeous necklace and pierced earrings. Bringing this necklace to a marvelous conclusion is the gold plated trimming around the mouth of the black rose and the three gold plated leaves at the bottom of the rose. The necklace is in excellent vintage condition with no wear to the gold plating. This necklace is SO COOL and very VERSATILE because it can be worn with the rose in front, at the side or even at the back of the neck.

To complete this gorgeous "Midnight Rose" Collection is the matching pair of "Midnight Rose" pierced earrings. These marvelous molded Lucite and rhinestone accented earrings are formed in the shape of rose buds following the theme of the necklace. These rosebuds are also trimmed with gold plating around their mouth as well as their leaves. The post and backing of the pierced earrings are gold-tone. These earrings measure approximately 1 1/8" by 7/8'. The earring backs are not the original to the set. They are replaced with new gold-tone backing.

The back of each piece is marked "KJL for AVON".

These are pre-owned and in excellent condition. They appear to have been not worn, or worn very little. There are no indications of dullness, tarnish, or wear and there is nothing missing, broken, bruised or bumped. They also appear in Sandra Sturdivant's book, "Identifying AVON JEWELRY". The clasp latches securely for those hot summer nights when you want a lightweight and easy to wear collection.

MEASUREMENTS

The necklace comes with a double strand of white Lucite/thermoset beads with the shorter strand measuring approximately 15¾" and the longer strand measuring approximately 17". The stunning molded Lucite and rhinestone accented black rose, hiding the gold-tone clasp, measures approximately 1½" by 1½".
