Hi there lovelies! I am so excited about all of the wonderful thingsVintage Meet Modern has planned this year. If you know me, I am always talking about how the right accessories really make a difference in elevating your style and setting you up for success, no matter where your day takes you (even if it’s just to the grocery store)!

The right piece of jewelry can truly bring you joy and happiness every time you wear it. As we continue to focus on helping women look and feel their best through sustainable fashion, I wanted to dive deeper with like-minded women of the jewelry world. The Joy of Jewelry Show is a wonderful place where the Vintage Meet Modern Mavens will have the opportunity to connect with other women who wear vintage jewelry and incorporate it in their modern style. You can expect guest appearances from various bloggers, customers and brands, and I just know you will LOVE and enjoy seeing the connections, hearing the stories and learning all about what makes our guests special to us!

In our first episode, we feature Brenna Pakes, the creative force behindJewelry Navigator. Her podcast and website connect shoppers with unique jewelry selections created by independent designers. Through Jewelry Navigator, Brenna shares an appreciation for designers who create beyond commercial trends and whose designs resonate with shoppers who want to celebrate their unique style.

As a GIA Graduate Gemologist with an undergraduate degree in geology, Brenna combines her knowledge with her love of jewelry, and she has enjoyed nearly 20 years of retail jewelry experience. She also still works in her local jewelry store occasionally to keep up on the latest trends and see what customers like. In doing so, she realized that people truly wanted unique pieces of jewelry that reflected who they are and what they are all about. After conducting research, she began to tell the stories of creative jewelry designers through her blog which later turned into the Jewelry Navigator podcast.

Before our interview, I chatted with her on the phone, and she is truly a warm, vibrant and beautiful soul! While she tells these great stories, she is also such a joy because she’s fostering a sense of community through her work.

A few fun facts:her most beloved piece of jewelry is her engagement ring, and her love affair with jewelry started as a child because she thought gemstones looked just like candy!
