Sweater Weather and Sparkles, let's say that five times fast.
It's sweater weather and this weeks finds will add that special touch to your warm, cuddly, snuggly, and of course stylish looks. Whether you wear love cashmere, fine gauge knits, warm wool we have the perfect jewelry to compliment your look.
This week, I took a stroll through my own closet thanks to the Marie Kondo craze. I won’t deny two things bring me joy, my jewelry and of course, the clothes I pair with it. Since we were stuck inside for a few snow days, I decided to go through my sweaters. As a midwestern gal, my closet has more than a few and a variety of styles colors and patterns. Some sweaters I have had for over 20 years. So when I was curating this week’s collection I asked myself, how could I change the look of both of jewelry and sweaters over and over again so I would not get bored or in a style rut.
As we put together the pieces, I did find a few recurring themes. Tassel lariats necklaces are perfect for sweaters, they can easily be worn a variety of different ways giving you maximum versatility. Plus lariats look fabulous with sweater dresses and tunics, too. The ones we have this week are exceptional, great quality and design, and one is even from one of our favorite fashion icons and designers, you’ll have to watch the video to find out who.
Another theme -- statement earrings, statement earrings really easily dress up sweater, even on the coldest of days, you don’t need anything but a great pair of earrings to really dress up your look and go from frumpy to fabulous.
Change the look of embellished sweaters and cardigans like the one we featured from Anthropologie was fun to accessories with different styles and colors of jewelry. I always like to impress upon my clients vintage jewelry is a wonderful investment because it is so well made, the same can be said for a great made sweater, too. The navy sweater with floral applique featured in our lookbook is from Anthropologie and it is over 10 years old, proving that it’s easy to make your vintage modern and memorable.
