“The long and the short of it” ~ why every woman should have a long and a short necklace
Let’s go to great lengths. Have I mentioned I have a thing for puns? But seriously, I want to talk about why your jewel box essentials should include necklaces of various lengths. If you are going to own two, both a long and a short necklace are a must.
Why own a necklace of short length, even if you don’t normally wear necklaces? An adornment around your neck fills in necklines and complements your face. And a shorter necklace has the ability to fill in collared blouses, tanks, v-necks, scoop necks, and more. The best part is that a necklace draws admirers to your face and commands eye contact. It also pulls together an ensemble. With so many different styles, it’s easy to pick a necklace that accentuates your positive features.
Here are a few of our favorites.
Choose a Y-Style or Drop Necklace to fill a V Neck
Pearls or Multi Strand Necklaces are wonderful for scoop necklines or collared blouses.
Be bold, wear a statement necklace – it’s sure to receive compliments and grab attention.
If you’re uncomfortable wearing something close to your neck, then longer necklaces are a great option. They’re magic – try one on, and instantly you will look taller and slimmer.
Long necklaces are perfect to pair with long tanks, maxi dresses, shifts, and tunics. A long piece also adds intrigue to solid colors.
Having both a short and a long necklace in your jewelry box gives you maximum versatility. What’s even better than one necklace, and one of my other favorite reasons why two is always better than one….
Long and short necklaces are fun to layer together.
